Coasting their way through Downtown Fort Worth, and venturing into the Near Southside District, B Cycle is the new “greener” mode of transportation in our neighborhood. This efficient and affordable non-profit organization is taking the hassle out of purchasing, owning and maintaining a bike - enjoy your ride at your own convenience. Plus, the closest station to our community is just a block around the corner off Galveston Ave and W. Vickery Blvd.
Fort Worth Bike Sharing has been going strong with this program for over 3 years. They first launched the idea on Earth Day, April 22, 2013. Ever since, the organization has set up bike stations across Downtown, The Cultural District, the Stockyards, TCU Campus, and our own backyard – Near Southside.
So, how does it work?
You can purchase a membership online, or at any B Cycle station. You can check out the station map here. Once you’ve completed this, choose your bike and any of the stations, enjoy your ride, and just return it back to any station. It’s only $1.50 for the first hour. Simple as that!
Be sure to let us know how your first ride goes. The new kids on the block are always looking to hear awesome stories about the hidden gems in our neighborhood.
